I used to be under the impression that to make a lasting change in my life was hard.
If I wanted to be more joyful, I had to do joyful things. Well, it turns out that there is an easier way.
Instead of doing lots of joyful things, I just pretend I’m joyful for no reason.
I smile and my brain thinks that I’m happy.
I just need to think about the quality I want and pretend that I already have it.
I trick my mind and the body follows.
If you want to create a “new you” just pretend you are already that person. Just act like you already have the qualities you want.
If you want to be more confident, say “ I feel very confident right now” or “I’m feeling very good about myself today”
